Mergers & Acquisitions 401k Fund

At an acquisitive firm, why not take advantage of the cash buying power of your employees’ 401k funds? There could be a mutual fund managed in the company’s 401k options that is earmarked for “strategic purchases.” Employees’ investments would go to purchase ownership of companies that their own company is looking to acquire or influence. This would increase the leverage and ability of their company to influence shareholder votes, strategic decision-making, or mergers & acquisitions.
