When I was in college, I rued the day that my laundry basket filled up and I had to lug it down 4 flights of stairs and through 4 sets of heavy, awkward doors to the laundry room...only to find that all the machines were taken. I thought - "Man! If they could only put the status on the web, I could check it and know when and where to go."
So that was the idea; but it may be a moot point, as it appears that some of these facilities are already popping up according to some of my web research (
